Product information to prepare before a shipping review

Give the logistics team a specific product brief before discussing a shipping channel.

Describe composition and intended use

Provide the commercial product name, intended use, materials or ingredients, photos and packaging details. Identify liquids, powders, magnets, batteries or other features that need specialist review instead of leaving them out of the enquiry.

For battery products, share the battery type and whether it is installed, packed with equipment or shipped separately. IATA publishes battery transport guidance; the applicable air transport requirements need to be checked for the actual shipment.

Gather the available documents

Prepare supplier invoices, packing information and any product documentation you already hold. A commercial invoice is used in import and export clearance; the destination and product determine what further information may be needed.

Tell the provider what documents are still missing. Do not describe a product as certified or accepted unless you can supply the relevant evidence and its scope can be checked.

Separate review from acceptance

Ask the proposed carrier or service provider to review the product, route and documentation before you commit to shipping. A similar shipment or another seller’s experience does not establish acceptance for your goods.

SANA can discuss documentation coordination within an agreed service scope. Final product acceptance and destination requirements must be checked for the specific case. No permit, customs outcome, rate or delivery window is implied by this guide.

Review your shipment requirements

Share the products, destination and working brief so SANA can review the scope with you.
